It was Gerald Celente back in January, 2010 who coined the term, “survival ingenuity.” Gerald is the CEO and head of the Trends Research Journal. The video link above is a very important marker for where we are currently. Our world is rapidly changing. Now is the time to implement this skill.
“Survival Ingenuity” is the ability to handle adversity when it comes. If you go to Off The Grid News and read about the The Psychology of a Survivalist, then you can have a very clear example. According to the article, the mental fortitude to overcome adversity is key to survival. “Survival ingenuity” is the ability to take lemons and make lemonade! I pray and seek wisdom through my faith and trust people within my community.
According to the Scriptures, faith (belief) is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. I cannot see the answer yet, but I know it’s there. If I am having a difficult time now, then I try to take some time to pray and ask for guidance. I can take a look at it from different perspectives and ask someone that I trust in my community for their perspective as well.
Remember, trying to navigate this world alone can be a DANGEROUS position. I’ve made decisions alone only to come up short and at the end of my own abilities. “Survival Ingenuity” is not a solo event or effort. The first step in building a community is inviting people who are interested in sharing skill-sets as well as time. Have an potluck dinner as a “Get to know you” time. My caution is to thoroughly vet individuals BEFORE sending out the invitation to attend.
Being a part of a community will be a great advantage in the times to come…We will be talking about more aspects regarding preparedness, survival, and tools necessary for your community in future blogs. Peace!
